There was actually an interview with Harmonix (or maybe Activision) three years ago. It was stated that "we have had plans for 'Piano Idol', a game that would have a small keyboard-like controller with ten buttons." Or something like that.

The overall concept is very fathomable and may likely happen.

And, DP, not all songs that feature pianos are ballads. *glares as Toto, Coldplay, Muse, Guns N Roses, Aerosmith, Linkin Park, Evanescence, and many other bands*
I'm very aware of the piano usage in alt-rock and nu metal. I just don't think a piano feature would work very well in Guitar Hero.

How the hell did a talk about a game that would feature songs from past games turned into a talk about Piano Hero?
Anyway, you can now vote for the songs you want to see in the game.

Because Xanthus once again tried to make his love affair with classical music well-known.

What? You can? Where?

Ah, my bad. I didn't realize the topic title was "Guitar Hero". I thought it was just a piano game in general. (Man, I am SO tired...)

Anyway, *goes to site to vote for songs*

Guitar Hero 1 Part was revealed today, and I must say it's epic.
Pantera - "Cowboys From Hell (Live)"
Franz Ferdinand - "Take Me Out"
Queens of the Stone Age - "No One Knows"
Joan Jett & the Blackhearts - "I Love Rock N' Roll"
Boston - "More Than A Feeling"
White Zombie - "Thunder Kiss '65"
Blue Oyster Cult - "Godzilla"
Helmet - "Unsung (Live)"
Queen - "Killer Queen"
Incubus - "Stellar"
Ozzy Osbourne - "Bark At The Moon"
Deep Purple - "Smoke On The Water"
The Donnas - "Take It Off"
The Exies - "Hey You"

Activision knows about music.

"Ziggy Stardust" and "Infected" would've been good choices too, but that list is great, nonetheless.

I would also had liked "Fire It Up", but I remembered they still need GH2, 80s and 3

I'll probably hack into the game just to replace "Freya" and "Laid to Rest" with "Crazy on You" and "Sweet Child o Mine".

I really would've liked to see "Sweet Child o' Mine" in the game as well... Feh, "Barracuda" is a better choice than "Crazy on You". And there's still a chance the former will be in.

I completely disagree. "Barracuda" is waaaaaaaaay too overplayed; and the repetitiveness is annoying. "Crazy On You" constantly changes.
